1. The application scale of flat welding flange is different from that of butt welding flange. Flat welding flange is widely used for the connection of carbon steel pipe with pressure less than 2.5MPa. The butt welding flange is suitable for the pipeline with high pressure and temperature, or the pipeline with high pressure and low temperature. It is also used to transport the pipeline with expensive quotation, inflammable and explosive medium. 

2. The welding method of the flat welding flange is different from that of the butt welding flange. The flat welding flange only needs to weld one side of the flange instead of the inner opening connecting the pipe and the flange, while the butt welding flange needs to weld both sides, so the butt welding flange reduces the appearance of stress concentration.

3. The quotation of flat welding flange is different from that of butt welding flange. Because the manufacturing technology of flat welding flange is relatively simple, the quotation is relatively cheap.
